It takes about the same time. We start from Vinogradny and return to Alushta - it’s more convenient to go home. The name Ai-Yori means "Saint George". Previously, near the source there was a church - St. George (hence the name of the entire tract Ai-Yori, that is, St. George). Even in the recent past, the source received special attention from pilgrims heading along the forest road to Kosmo-Demyanovsky Monastery in the upper reaches of the Alma. On the weekend, we weren’t alone here either, there were two more companies nearby, some were swimming, some were making barbecue. You can drive here by car, ride ATVs, and there are bike trails a little lower. We make tea, sit by the fire, it’s still wonderful in nature, even if it’s already cool - Ai-yori is protected from the sun’s rays by Babugan and in the afternoon it’s cool here. Ai-Yori is also closely adjacent to Crimean Natural Reserve- the border is the same road along which we come from the village of Vinogradnoye - it’s also old Romanovskaya road.
Speaking about this place, the Alushta partisan detachment was based here during the Great Patriotic War in the area of Mount Ai-Yori. On the Ai-Yori rock there are monuments, a memorial plaque and a Book of Memory where you can leave your note. The rock is located 150-200 m from the source; a well-trodden path leads there from the clearing. At the top there is a magnificent observation deck, from where you can see Chatyrdag, the villages of Rozovoye, Izobilnoye, the east coast, Alushta and the city of Kastel.
