According to Valentin Degtyarev, a radio amateur from Nizhny Tagil, thanks to the Google Earth service, he managed to find a wrecked alien ship in Antarctica. As evidence, he published a video on his YouTube channel containing satellite images of the find.
In his blog on cont.ws, the enthusiast said that an alien ship became noticeable after the melting of ice began in Antarctica.
"I accidentally found something amazing. According to Degterev, in Antarctica, at coordinates 170 km from the coast of Eklund Island, something that resembles a “starship” lies on a rock. He noticed that a huge object was visible from under the snow, similar in outline to a spaceship.

The Russian posted the footage he was interested in on the Internet, making a short video out of them. According to Degtyarev, the starship crashed over the South Pole millions of years ago, and its dimensions are about 600 meters.
“Just a huge device with a size of 600 m crashed into a rock and remained in this captivity for centuries,” the URA.ru portal quotes Degterev as saying.
The researcher added that the ship became visible only after the snow melted. According to an enthusiastic researcher, only a small part of the spacecraft is likely to be on the surface. At the same time, Degterev called the found "UFO" the largest on the planet.
The video has already gained more than a thousand views, although, judging by the few comments, many were very skeptical about Degtyarev's assumption.
Such "discoveries" are made by ufologists and conspiracy theorists quite often, but most often not on Earth. For example, recently the media spread the news about three UFOs discovered near the Sun, and earlier about an abandoned tank on the surface of the Moon.

In reality, the situations in which the imagination "finishes" the mysterious outlines, forcing us to see artificial objects or living beings in them, are explained by a psychological illusion called pareidolia. It occasionally makes almost every person catch a paradoxical similarity between one or another inanimate object and, for example, an unusual facial expression.

According to the researcher himself, at first he thought that he had found an ordinary shadow, however, when he paid closer attention to the object, he could see a huge spaceship in it (up to hundreds of meters in size). In addition, it resembles a ship from the movie "Alien".
Valentin said that the picture on the Google Earth website was taken back in 2009. However, there is also a picture from 1999 in the same place, which also shows something. Most likely, no one ever found a strange object, or indeed an alien ship, for the simple reason that no one reached this place. After all, an incomprehensible object is still located in Antarctica and therefore it is not so easy to reach it.
According to the site, it is not known whether anyone will now want to explore this place in more detail, nor is it known what he will eventually find there. The researcher himself said that now there is one more mystery on Earth.
