Are there many vacationers in Divnomorsk now? Holidays in Divnomorskoe

At the mouth of the Inogua River near the Black Sea, the village of Divnomorskoye (Divnomorsk) is located. Hidden by the Caucasus Mountains, it has been attracting tourists for more than a hundred years. The village is not called so for nothing - the sea here is really marvelous. When the competition for the best name of the village was held, it was suggested by vacationers who admired the beauty of the sea surface.

Divnomorsk - healing and clean

The region has a mild subtropical climate. Summer is dry, winter is very rainy. The holiday season lasts from May to October, when the average air temperature is 25-30°C, water - up to 28°C. There are almost no cold northeast winds, so it is comfortable here in autumn.

Coniferous forests give the area its uniqueness. The one-of-a-kind Dzhankhotsky pine forest made of the famous relic Pitsunda pine makes the air fresh and healing. This is facilitated by the lack of industrial enterprises and major highways in the neighborhood.

The sea is transparent. From alluvial mud, the bay is protected by rocky spurs, which quickly carry away water streams from the mountains. The beaches are pebbly, and you can settle down both on the equipped ones on the embankment, and move a little further away and sunbathe on the wild ones, which are no worse.

Tourist Divnomorsk

The resort is one of the most popular on the Russian coast due to its amenities, aimed specifically at tourist recreation.

There are many hotels, bases and boarding houses designed for both young people and the elderly and families with children. Those who wish to improve their health are welcome to sanatoriums with modern treatment programs.

The main place for festivities is the embankment, where bars and restaurants, children's and adult attractions are located, many entertainment establishments operate in the open air format. There are banana rides, scuba diving, rental of jet skis, bicycles, scooters, go-karts, horseback riding. Routes are laid out for those who prefer to relax actively. You can fly on a parachute or go on an extreme trip in a jeep and even an armored personnel carrier. In the summer months, Luna Park arrives, opens the doors of a small aqua park. Fans of dancing are invited by the popular Kakadu youth club.

Numerous excursions are offered - from a trip to the homeland of Russian champagne to a visit to the estate of the Korolenko family and a unique natural attraction - the Parus rock. Orthodox will appreciate the Compound of the Trinity-Sergeeva Lavra, which keeps the relics of Sergius of Radonezh. If you like to explore everything on your own, big cities are easily accessible by bus or taxi.

I read a lot of reviews about holidays in Divnomorskoye. More precisely in the village of Divnomorskoye. Of course, the mood with which they came to relax, the company, and, probably most importantly, the character of the vacationers themselves, their worldview, and more precisely, their attitude to the surrounding reality are of great importance. I really want to write a review on the points of complaint that are mentioned in angry and dissatisfied reviews.. To begin with... We have been vacationing in Divnomorskoe for 5 years: 2 mothers and 3 children (now they are 12 years old, and when we arrived for the first time, they were 7 each ). Moreover, my daughter and I personally visited many resorts, including “our” Crimea (South Coast) and, I assure you, between Divnomorsk and South Coast we can safely put an equal sign in terms of the beauty of nature and the sea. So, the “horror stories” of Divnomorsky.
1. "Disgustingly dirty sea." Blatant lie. The sea in Divnoye is clean, pebbles are visible at the bottom, children swim with masks. A small nuance... The transparent sea and dolphins on the beaches of the sanatoriums "Energetik", "Golubaya Dal" and "VMF"... This feature is due to sea currents, which carry all the turbidity towards the rural beach.. on the rural beach - the water is not transparent , “turbulent” by many vacationers, and, moreover, the pebble-sandy bottom in places, brings its own disadvantage... Therefore, when choosing housing, you need to study the map of the village in detail and stay in a hotel closer to these sanatoriums, that is, to the “humpbacked” bridge across the Mzyb (Aderbu) River. An excellent beach near the “Torch”, but the road there is dusty and boring along dull fences. The territory of the military sanatorium and the Blue Dali are closed. Through "Energetik", its alleys and pine groves you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes.
2. “Terribly expensive housing, disgusting service, boorish attitude of the local population.” In 2017, we booked a room for 1800 rubles. for two. 5 years ago this housing cost 1,500 rubles. Of course, you can find it cheaper, but... I’m a capricious and picky mother who definitely needs: an air conditioner, a TV and a bathroom in the room, good furniture, a separate kitchen, a veranda, a large and “green” courtyard area, no “anthill” - that is, a minimum of other residents, a minimum distance to the sea. We rent housing on the street. Golubodalskaya, 17 near Olga Nikolaevna, estate "Pine Shelter". For us, for 3600 from two families - two rooms (each with its own bathroom, TV, air conditioner - which we never turned on, since the estate is located in a pine grove and it is always cool there) united by a common veranda, plus for our families - a huge, equipped with everything necessary, kitchen. In total, 3 families live in the estate (together with us). Over the course of our entire vacation, we crossed paths 3 times, and then in a chalet or at a barbecue grill. Over these 5 years, Olga Niklaevna and I became practically family.
And about rudeness... Personally, no one has ever been rude to us... We were always positive and received a kind, sympathetic attitude in response to a smile. Therefore, dear “sufferers”, smile! Don't be rude or grumpy! Don’t spoil the mood for yourself or those around you!
And about housing prices and the lack thereof... Dear holidaymakers! If you are vacationing abroad, you will not go “to the village to visit your grandfather.” You will book through a travel agency, meticulously choosing your hotel and room.. Only then will you go on vacation. What prevents you from booking accommodation in Divnomorsk in advance? Fortunately, there is housing there for every taste and budget..!! "Abroad" the price per room depends on the coastline. It’s the same in Divnomorskoye. The further from the sea, the cheaper the room!
3. “Infection and the high cost of medicines...” Indeed, children get sick.. but... knowing the specifics of such a holiday (many people, warm sea, heat outside), you need to adhere to simple rules: wash your hands, wash fruits, in unknown Don’t feed children in street cafes (but in general you can cook it yourself, it’s not that burdensome...), start prophylaxis with antiviral drugs while on the road, and use ersefuril as an emergency drug for intestinal infections.
Prices for medicines are the same as here in Nizhny Novgorod (in the pharmacy near Magnit and Sberbank), in 24-hour (apparently commercial) ones they are more expensive.
4. "Disgusting stores. Lack of everything." We always vacation during the peak season - in July-August. Yes, there are a lot of people. But... We go to Magnit in the morning... we buy as many products as possible and live quietly for 3 days. I have never seen empty shelves... Maybe in the evening the shelves become empty... Personally, we have not encountered this. However Besides "Magnit", there are a lot of other stores where you can buy groceries, albeit a little more expensive than in "Magnit"..
5. “The music is blaring in the cafe” Firstly, all entertainment establishments are open until 2 am. And secondly, if you are used to going to bed at 9 pm, choose accommodation away from the center..
In general, Divomorskoye is the best place on the entire coast of “our” Black Sea! Have a good mood everyone! I hope that my review will be useful to someone.
I hope my review will be useful

We present the private sector, boarding houses of Divnomorsky without extra charges, prices of 2019 from the owners. You can get acquainted with the description of the rooms, the infrastructure and make a reservation.

The entire coastline is occupied by boarding houses and sanatoriums, so mini-hotels are located at a short distance from the beaches, although the absolute distances are not so great. It is best to settle in the private sector in the northern part along Kurortnaya Street, which runs from the embankment to the Fakel sanatorium.

A dynamically developing resort has gained popularity in recent years and is not inferior to Gelendzhik. Many people choose Divnomorsk for its clean embankments, beaches, unique nature and the famous Zolotaya Bukhta water park - the largest in Russia, with exclusive water complexes even by the standards of Eastern Europe.

The village of Divnomorskoye is a quite comfortable private sector and guest houses, guests can count on good service. There will always be many cafes, restaurants with local and European cuisine, pharmacies, and other important facilities nearby - they all fit perfectly into the region. The area has not lost its former originality and allows you to enjoy nature and the crystal clear sea.

How to get there

The village of Divnomorskoye is located along the Inogua River, which is filled with water by the mountain tributaries of the Mezyb and Aderba. The coast is washed by open water, i.e. the coastline is flat without sharp changes. The federal highway M4 "Don" and that is removed from the village, thereby not having any negative impact on the local environment. Although such remoteness in a certain way affects the convenience of the transfer.

The only large settlement is the city of Gelendzhik, which is about 12 km away. The majority of tourists go through it. There is a regular bus between Gelendzhik and Divnomorsky. Also, during the holiday season from May to October, regular routes are organized from Krasnodar. The nearest railway station in Novorossiysk is about 45 km away, and the airport in Gelendzhik is about 15 km away. If you drive a private car, you can move through Rostov-on-Don and Novorossiysk or Krasnodar and Arkhipo-Osipovka.

general information

The village of Divnomorskoye is the regional center of the Gelendzhik region with a population of 6,500 people. In everyday life you can often hear the name Divnomorsk and even False Gelendzhik. So the settlement was called until the 1960s, and it was due to the fact that sea vessels very often confused the local raid with the Gelendzhik one. There are even a lot of legends about it. In general, the settlement arose here relatively recently - at the beginning of the 19th century. Previously, it was the Adyghe village of Mezyb, which bore the name of one of the tributaries of the Inogua River, then a military fortification of Russian troops with a settlement of military personnel. The current name was given in the spirit of the Soviet era. In those days, they did not think much about etymology. After all, here is really a wonderful marvelous sea.

Coming to rest in Divnomorskoye, you can count on a fairly high level of service. The tourism business is the only way to earn money in the village, and competition ensures quality. On the other hand, the region is not devoid of natural originality, giving the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty, the purest, even healing air and the sea.

Things to do

Pitsunda pine. Divnomorskoye.

Rest in Divnomorsk is, first of all, a beach holiday. There are no special attractions in the village, which are called must see. The only exception is the Dzhankhotsky forest of relic Pitsunda pine, which stretches from the village along the coastline for several kilometers. They say that it is these pine trees that give the local air special healing properties. There is a temple in the village in the name of Sergei Radonezh, but this is a remake that has appeared here in our time. Perhaps this is due to the fact that one of the residences of the Russian Patriarch is located in Divnomorsk, although its territory is closed to ordinary citizens. If you want to see something else, you will need to drive along the coast towards Gelendzhik or Dzhubga, since local travel agencies offer a wide range of such trips.

Beaches

Divnomorskoe beach. Igor Arkhipov / Photobank Lori

The beaches of Divnomorsk covered the entire coastline of the village. The most popular is the Central Beach, which runs from the confluence of the Inogua River and up the coast for 700m. The beach is about 30m wide, and fully landscaped, while the entrance is absolutely free. Also well equipped are the so-called sanatorium beaches, which even have full-time medical workers. In principle, the entrance there is free, but you should not claim sunbeds by the sea, they are for your own. There are also many wild beaches in the village. Particularly popular is the nudist beach, located in the direction of Gelendzhik. On the other hand (in the direction of the village of Dzhankhot) there are also many unequipped, but quite good places for recreation on the shore.

Evdokimov family, Arkhangelsk:

We rested in June in Divnomorsk. We went there for the first time, read a lot of reviews before, decided that we wanted to live in a separate apartment, because the children were small (6 and 8 years old), we wanted to have our own separate kitchen.
I also wanted the apartment to be cozy, clean and close to the sea.
On one forum there was a review about a vacation in Divnomorsk, and Angelica’s phone number was indicated there.
I called and explained what we wanted. Angelika clarified when we would arrive in Divnomorsk and promised to prepare the apartment we wanted for our arrival.
We were still worried because we were traveling for the first time, with children, and we didn’t want to be left homeless.
But everything turned out just fine. The driver from Anzhelika met us in Novorossiysk at the station and brought us to the apartment on the street. Kirov, the apartment was 2 rooms, with a balcony. TV, bath, toilet, kitchen with dishes, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine.
There was also a split system, but we didn’t use it, the apartment was cool, there were trees under the windows, so the apartment was always in the shade. Nearby was Magnit, and a little further away was the Kurortnaya dining room.
The location is excellent, 5 minutes from the sea (we went to the beach of a military sanatorium), quiet at night.
The children were simply delighted with the sea. They didn’t want to get out of the water.
On the way to the sea there are a lot of children's attractions, so in the evening we had an obligatory walk through the park with these attractions.
I liked Divnomorsk, it’s cozy, small, everything is nearby, very suitable for families with children. If we succeed, we will definitely go again.

Irina Felisova, Irkutsk:

We vacationed with my husband in September 2011. We chose between Gelendzhik and Divnomorsk, but in the end we settled on Divnomorsk.
While we were choosing, I scoured the Internet and discovered that in Divnomorsk you can rent not only a room in the private sector or a suite, but also an apartment.
I found this option interesting.
For the money it was the same as a room in a private house, but there they offered a shared shower and toilet, but here everything is separate.
As a result, we chose an apartment 10-12 minutes from the sea on the street. Gornaya, for which special thanks to Angelica, who showed us this apartment.
The apartment is small, 1st floor, huge balcony, good repair, cozy, clean, everything is there: TV, shower, kitchen with everything you need to cook.
Just perfect for the two of us. The area is calm, it was quiet at night.
The sea is clean. We went for a swim at Energetika beach. We saw dolphins twice.
We ate mostly ourselves at home; there were two grocery stores nearby.
In the evening we went to cafes several times, the food was so-so, but we liked the music.
We went to the Zolotaya Bukhta water park, we really liked it, and towards the end of our vacation we went there a second time.
Overall, we were very pleased with our vacation, the place was calm, there weren’t very many people (probably because it was September), the sea was just super, so pleasant and gentle.
If it works out, we will definitely come here next year.
Special thanks to Angelica for the apartment. We got exactly what we wanted and expected.

Olga and Maxim Vereshchagin, Novosibirsk:

We rested in Divnomorsk in August. We chose the option with a separate cottage because we were traveling with three families (9 people in total)
We decided to go by car. Therefore, I wanted to have a normal parking place.
Before arrival we saw photographs of the cottage. In principle, this is how it turned out. The cottage is large, for one family, of course, too big (although it depends on who), but for us for three families it’s just right.
The children were happy to have Wi-Fi and immediately got on the Internet.
As for us adults, there was a place on site to cook kebabs, the owners suggested where to buy fresh meat, and almost all evenings we grilled kebabs and relaxed in the fresh air.
The sea in Divnomorsk is simply super. But this is not news for us, we come here all the time, we used to rent rooms, but we liked relaxing in a separate cottage much more.
The vacation was great, we are looking forward to returning to Divnomorsk next summer!

We vacationed in Divnomorskoe from August 16-25, 2016 with a large family - parents, my husband and I, and two children - 7.5 years old and 1 year 10 months. We arrived by car from Ryazan. (my husband, as a railway worker, and children rode for free on a high-speed branded train to Novorossiysk, where my parents and I met them in a car). Accommodation was booked in advance (back in May) on the website. We needed either a room with 2 rooms or a 2-room apartment. We stopped looking for an apartment. I liked the option on O. Koshevoy, 15. For a day in August they asked for 4000. (from August 1-16 -4500, from August 17 to 31 -4000) Apartment with access to a private garden next to the balcony, 1st floor. In the garden there was a barbecue, sun loungers, a clothes dryer, figs, nuts, prunes, pears, and persimmons grew. The nuts (hazelnuts) ripened and fell in large quantities; we ate them until we were full). The apartment itself did not disappoint - as the owners promised, it had everything you needed - Wi-Fi, bed linen, 2 large sofas (sleep 4) + a small children's sofa, in the other room there is also a large sofa, so we (6 people) were comfortably accommodated. Lots of dishes (and very good ones!) lots of cabinets, 2 air conditioners, washing machine. car, hot water constantly (water heater in the form of a gas water heater). BUT, probably because of the 1st floor, during the mass washing of people in this house (in the evening, at lunch) sometimes the water pressure was not enough to automatically ignite the water heater, and hot water flowed intermittently. There was also not enough pressure when someone was washing dishes in the kitchen, the machine was washing, and you were washing. Therefore, we did not turn on other sources of water while swimming) It was best to wash early in the morning or late in the evening - then there was enough pressure. It was certainly not convenient.. Otherwise, the apartment left a very pleasant impression - clean, plenty of space, not noisy. You can't hear any noise from the embankment or the cafe. If motorcyclists were riding, they could close the plastic windows, turn on the air conditioning and sleep. For a family with children - just right.
Advice - when you book accommodation in advance, ask for the street and house number, and look at these houses on the map of Divnomoskoye (on the same Yandex maps) + use a ruler to measure the distance to the sea (for example, the beach of the Energetik boarding house). On Yandexmaps there is such a ruler, put point A and point B and see the distance between them. There are sites where a dot is placed automatically at the location of the apartment, and you see how many actual meters are from the apartment to the sea, and not how many the owners told you. It is known that owners tend to underestimate this distance by half. In our case, according to the map, the beach was 1.1 km away, but we didn’t like this particular beach, and we went to the far one, which is another +400 meters minimum. Therefore, walking to the beach with children, with a stroller, in the heat of + 39 degrees took we have 30-40 minutes. Tiring.
Here’s another piece of advice: before booking, study the map of Divnomoskoye. Not all streets are on the plain, some go uphill, and uphill is good. We were lucky - our house was still on the plain, but the houses with numbers higher up this street were uphill. It was hard to look at parents with small children, with strollers, toys, circles and mattresses, drenched in sweat, dragging all this stuff up the mountain. And the heat in the morning already started at 30+ degrees, by lunchtime it was already +35-39 in the shade. Such a trip uphill in the heat will obviously not improve anyone’s health. Be sure to take this point into account BEFORE booking so as not to be disappointed and look for other accommodation on the plain)
Despite the car, driving it to the sea is problematic. Naturally, you can’t drive along the embankment, and the road to the embankment is densely lined with cars on all sides, mostly with Krasnodar “owner” license plates, damn it. The streets are narrow, 1 car wide in one direction. There are a lot of one-way streets - keep an eye on this so you don’t run into a brick for some local horseman. Therefore, it is better to immediately forget about driving a car to the sea - it will bring nothing but nerves, twitching, pushing in traffic jams. We had our own parking space near the entrance, which was locked with a padlock and chain - and this is a big plus, because the courtyards are heavily crowded with cars.
We went on excursions to Abrau-Durso, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik (water park, safari park). The water park is gorgeous, it’s not for nothing that it is considered the largest in Russia. Ticket price is 1400 for adults, 650 for children - but it's worth it! The only killer was the huge traffic jams before and after Gelendzhik (road repairs), at the entrance to Novorossiysk, in the city itself, and along the mountain serpentines, everyone often trails each other. We wanted to go to Dzhubga, Arkhipo-Osipovka, and many other places, but when we saw a traffic jam in Dzhubga for 14 km on Yandexmaps, we tempered our ardor and limited ourselves to what I wrote.
The beaches in Divnoye leave much to be desired - narrow, with very large pebbles, and crowded. The good news was that for the first 5-7 days the sea was perfectly clean. And very warm. The water temperature was 26-28 degrees; according to locals, the sea rarely warmed up like that. Even children entered the sea without getting used to it. But 3 days before our departure, according to the same locals, there was a downpour in the mountains, there was a storm at sea, and a lot of debris washed up on the seashore - sticks, bottles, jars of yogurt. In the morning we came to the sea and didn’t recognize it... there was so much garbage near the shore. Even 20-30 m from the shore, a moldy mayonnaise bucket floated next to me. The spectacle is terrible. I was very worried about the little one, just in case he caught something. Again, according to rumors from vacationers, it was from August 22-23 that people began to suffer from intestinal infections - everyone was vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. Ambulances with flashing lights often flashed through the streets of Divnoye. It’s good that we left soon, but upon arriving home the children had an upset stomach and vomiting. Acclimatization or E. coli - we can only guess. We saved ourselves with “Baktisubtil” and “Enterofuril” - everything went away.
We ate 50/50 - half at home, half at the Kurortnoye+ cafe. The cafe is really decent, everything is clean, tidy, the portions are fresh - this can be seen both with the naked eye and by the menu that changes every day. It was not scary to feed the little one. There is nothing to say about the “eateries” with shawarma on the embankment and under awnings - flies land on the kebabs, and the sellers drive them away with the palm of their hand. Once we ate shawarma near the Ogonyok cafe, and there in the square near the Olympic Cheburek - we couldn’t resist trying unhealthy food. There was nothing bad, but of course we didn’t give it to the children. The stomachs of adults coped)
We took capsules of probiotics, prebiotics (Linex, Acipol, etc.) with us for prevention, both we and the children drank daily. Only purchased water, in bottles on tap, or at the local Magnit. At “Magnit” we bought food for cooking at home, and everyone seemed to be alive and well. But still look at the expiration dates of products - especially milk and sausages)
It’s impossible to say that Divnomorsk surprised us in any way. A small resort town (more like a village). You can walk around it length and breadth in the first 2 days. The main entertainment in Gelendzhik. But for a relaxing family holiday with children, it is suitable. Therefore, in principle, we were satisfied. But for some reason I don’t feel like going back there anymore; we’ll continue to explore new places on the Black Sea coast next time)
