Where is it better to go to Cyprus with a child? Where is the best place to go to Cyprus with children?

We are in Cyprus with a child

The answer is clear - yes, holidays in Cyprus with a child available. Arguments in favor of traveling to Cyprus with children:

Pclean beaches and clear sea . Most of the beaches in Cyprus are ideal for children: gently sloping beaches, clear water, well-developed infrastructure with sun loungers, umbrellas, toilets and lifeguards.

Magnificent beaches (but not all) and the cleanest sea in Cyprus

Friendly attitude towards children . Taverns and cafes usually have a highchair and sometimes a playground. In public places they can give something to a child (a balloon, a car).

Our 7-month-old baby fit perfectly in a highchair in the restaurant

N Availability of parks and playgrounds. Parks are located mainly in cities, and sites can also be found in resort villages. Hotels and taverns also often have play areas for children.

Small children's playground in Polis

Entertainment . In Cyprus, various themed entertainment parks have been created for children and adults: water parks, amusement parks, zoos, an aquarium, a camel park, a bird park, a donkey park, and enclosures with mufflons.

Convenient to move with a stroller . There are promenades for walking along the coastline. Many beaches provide wheelchair access to sun loungers.

Promenade in Limassol

Minimal crime. The streets are absolutely safe.

Cyprus with children: where is the best place to go on holiday?

Where is the best place to relax with a child in Cyprus:

Protaras. One of the best resorts for holidays in Cyprus with children. Gentle beaches with turquoise water, developed infrastructure, a calm resort village.

Central beach in Protaras

Ayia Napa . A party resort, an ambiguous place for a trip to Cyprus with a child. Depends on what area and near what beach the accommodation is chosen. Beaches where I would not go on holiday with a child: Latchi Adams (rocks and garbage), Nissi Beach (lots of drunken young people, but the beach is beautiful) and some beaches in the surrounding area (rocks). Take a closer look at the beaches: Makronissos (eastern), Landa, Vatia Gonia, Pernera A, Pantachou, Glyki Nero. The key is to choose a hotel away from the bar area.

My child and I are on Makronissos beach (one of the best in Ayia Napa or even in all of Cyprus)

Larnaca. A good option for a holiday with children in Cyprus. Pros: close to the airport (it doesn’t take long to get to the hotel), a big city (therefore, there are supermarkets where you can buy food and diapers). The beaches in the city are quite good; in Larnaca Bay along the Dhekelia highway there are small quantities of pebbles on the sandy beaches.

Phinikoudes beach in the center of Larnaca

Limassol. Can be considered as a holiday with a child. Limassol is the largest city on the coast of Cyprus. There are many parks (including a water park and a zoo), children's playgrounds, entertainment, and stores with children's goods. Equidistant from both airports in Cyprus (≈65 km from each). Cons: the most expensive resort in Cyprus; some beaches are pebbly, and those that are sandy are a dismal grey. But children don’t care what color the sand is on the beach :)

Not the prettiest beaches in the center of Limassol, but children like them

Pathos. In general, Paphos resort is suitable for families with children. This is a residential city with developed infrastructure and large shops, close to the airport. But you need to be careful when choosing the beach closest to the hotel, since here they can be either sandy or rocky, not entirely suitable for swimming. Also, in some parts of the city, the beaches are concrete areas - this is certainly not the best place in Cyprus for children.

Sandy beach SODAP in Paphos

Coral Bay. The resort village is quite suitable for a holiday with a child. There are several large hotels and cottage complexes here. Excellent flat sandy beaches of Corallia and Coral Bay, developed resort infrastructure.

Policy. The resort may be boring for a holiday in Cyprus with children. The infrastructure is rather poorly developed. The only large supermarket is Papantonio with a small selection of baby food and diapers. The policy is located away from the coastline; you will have to walk or drive to the beach. The beach is equipped, sand and pebbles with a children's playground. Not far from Polis there are small villages on the seashore: Lachi (Lathi), Agraka, Pomos. As in Polis, the beaches are sand and pebble with a significant amount of pebbles.

How to choose accommodation for a holiday with children in Cyprus

Basic housing requirements when traveling to Cyprus with children:

  • Availability of a baby cot (if relevant by age).
  • Availability of a children's pool.
  • Good soundproofing in the rooms and no noise from the street.
  • Cleanliness in the room and throughout the hotel.
  • Children's animation.
  • Nanny services.
  • Availability of a playground and/or children's room.
  • Distance to the nearest organized beach.
  • The presence of positive reviews, especially from parents who vacationed with children.

If you are planning a trip tour, then it is more convenient to buy tickets through special sites. Without leaving home, you can analyze real prices directly from tour operators, read hotel reviews, and then book online. At the agency office there is usually not enough time to fully study the reviews, but at home no one is in a hurry. Plus the prices are transparent.

The largest tour sales sites online:

  • – a large number of offers, a convenient website and 24-hour customer support.
  • – prices for the same tours are cheaper than on other sites.
  • – another good site; before purchasing, you can check the prices here.

If you're flying on one's own, then to book accommodation you will need the following sites:

  • Booking– the main site for booking hotels in Cyprus.
  • Airbnb– a site for renting private housing: apartments and villas (when registering via the link, a welcome coupon for a $$ discount).

Examples of our housing in Cyprus for 30-40€ for 1-2 rooms + living room and kitchen (in high season, these options may be more expensive)

Rules for transporting strollers and infant carriers on an airplane

Each airline has individual conditions for transporting children and children's accessories, so they are described below. average rules. More exact information need to check with the air carrier, with whom a flight to Cyprus is planned.

Conditions of transportation child on an airplane depends on his age:

  • Up to 2 years (infant)– a child can fly without a separate seat (on the parent’s lap). In this case, transportation of the baby is either free or a small fixed fee is paid. If for one adult there is more than one child under 2 years old, then for the second, third, etc. Children must purchase a separate ticket. In this case, the tariffs will be the same as for the category of children from 2 to 12 years old. Baggage: Airlines often allow infants to additionally carry a stroller or cradle, as well as a small bag with a change of clothes, diapers and food for the duration of the flight, free of charge.
  • 2-12 years– a separate seat is purchased for the child, but, depending on the airline’s pricing policy, discounts may be provided.
  • Children over 12 years old– the same fare applies as for adult passengers.

From the personal experience of the authors . When we flew to Cyprus with a child, we planned to use the car during the entire period of our stay on the island. The child was carried on the plane in a baby carrier, which the baby could take into the cabin for free. In the same car seat, the child traveled with us throughout Cyprus every day for 3 weeks. We didn’t take a base with wheels (stroller) with us, but for hiking we used a hipster backpack (it periodically appears in the photo in this article).

Features of car rental in Cyprus for traveling with children

According to the rules in Cyprus, children in a moving car are:

  • up to 135 cm- must be in a special seat/booster according to weight category;
  • from 135 cm to 150 cm- can only be located in the back seats;
  • over 150 cm– can be placed either on rear, and on front seat.

Regardless of the seating arrangement, children should always be buckled up seat belts.

Rental prices infant carriers, car seats and boosters depends on the pricing policy of a particular rental company and the season. Average rental cost from 0 -5 € per day or 0-20€ for the entire rental period.

  • Myrentacar– the best, in our opinion, car rental site in Cyprus. Collects proposals from large and small local companies. The support service is excellent. It was through this site that we booked a car when we traveled with our child. A review was written.
  • – another good site, but it works more with large and international companies. Didn't use it ourselves.
  • Rentalcars– the principle of operation is the same as the previous one, but prices may be slightly higher. Booked on one of our long-ago trips to Cyprus. The experience was described.

It is highly advisable to choose a car with automatic transmission(in Cyprus, driving is on the left and right-hand drive cars, with a manual it will be difficult to change gears) and air conditioning(it’s very difficult without it in the heat, especially for a child).

From the personal experience of the authors. We rented a car in advance on the Myrentacar website with a pick-up and drop-off point at Larnaca airport. As we wrote above, we used our own infant carrier, which we carried on the plane for free.

What to see with children in Cyprus

In Cyprus you can see the following attractions that children may enjoy:

Ancient cities and sites . Students will benefit from visiting ancient ruins to gain an understanding of the ancient world. The most interesting locations: the ancient city with mosaics of Nea Paphos and the Royal Tombs in Paphos, the ancient city of Kourion near Limassol.

Cape Greco. An interesting walk around (Cavo Greco) with beautiful views, bays, grottoes. Located near Ayia Napa and Protaras. It will be interesting to ride ATVs here with older children. At Cape Greco there is open sun, it is advisable to choose a time to visit in the late afternoon or early in the morning. It’s possible with a stroller, but not very comfortable, since the path to the observation deck to the Peace Monument is rocky.

Avacas Canyon . A fascinating journey through the gorge near Paphos. You can walk through the canyon with children who already know how to crawl over stones. Wheelchair is not an option. With babies in a sling/kangaroo, you can easily cover some part of the route. But from the parking lot to the gorge itself you need to walk about a kilometer through an area open to the sun.

Akamas Nature Reserve . Located on a peninsula near Polis. It is quite a long drive from Ayia Napa, Protaras and Larnaca; it can be difficult for small children. Plus, you need to get to the sights of the peninsula by SUV along a bumpy road over steep cliffs (not every parent can mentally endure the fact that their child will ride along this bumpy ride over a cliff). Teens will likely enjoy it here. Especially if you travel around the peninsula on ATVs. But for younger children it is better to choose another place.

Troodos Mountains. Far from Ayia Napa, Protaras, a little closer, but not much, from Paphos and Larnaca and conveniently from Limassol. Children may like the observation decks and waterfalls: Milomeris, Kantara, Mesapotamos and Caledonia (to the last one you will have to walk a little more than a kilometer along the river bed, it is not possible with a stroller, the rest are not far from the parking lot). There are enclosures with mufflons, you can walk around and look at these artiodactyls in their natural habitat. It will be great to stop by the charming village of Kakopetria with an old water mill, and also check out the Cyprus Railway Museum, where you can climb into an ancient railcar and mail car.

Children with parents at Caledonia Falls

From the personal experience of the authors . We saw all the sights of Cyprus with our child, regardless of his age. We tried to visit places with a long stay in the open sun in the evening. In our opinion, the success of such trips depends most of all on the willingness of the parents themselves to travel with their children.

Excursions around Cyprus with children

There are excursions group(on a bus with other tourists) and individual(for an individual family/company in the guide’s personal car). With children, the second option is more convenient, and for a large family it can also be economical, since the price is usually indicated for the entire excursion, and not per person.

Websites where you can book a tour in advance:

  • Group: Excursions TezTour, Sputnik8.
  • Individual: .

What to look for when ordering an excursion:

  • The guide's car is equipped child car seat by age (this issue must be agreed upon in advance so that the guide can prepare).
  • The guide has good reviews(check them out before booking a tour).
  • The guide is careful driver(this is sometimes noted in reviews).
  • Duration excursion program. Young children may find it tiring on a full-day excursion.
  • When choosing a topic for an excursion, you need to consider children's preferences.

Examples of excursions in Cyprus, suitable for children:

✔ – excursion intended for children. There are several theme parks to choose from: camels, donkeys, animals and birds, an aquarium, plants.

  • Price: 240€ per group of up to 6 people + entrance tickets.
  • Duration: 8 ocloc'k.

✔ – the excursion will appeal not only to adults, but also to children. You will visit: the production of traditional smoked meats at one of the home wineries, a rose factory, a sweets factory, a trout farm.

  • Price: 250€ per group of up to 6 people.

  • Duration: 8 ocloc'k.

Other excursions in Cyprus can be found in the interactive form below.

Sun protection

Dangers, which lie in wait for children and adults in the heat:

  • Sunstroke.
  • Heatstroke.
  • Sunburn.

How to protect yourself:

Headdress . Be sure to wear a hat/cap/scarf/bandana for your child.

Clothing made from natural fabrics . To reduce the chance of overheating, dress your child in cotton clothing.

Sunscreen . Use creams based on zinc oxide and titanium dioxide (recommendation by pediatrician E.O. Komarovsky), since these compounds are the least safe for sensitive children's skin and do not penetrate the bloodstream. Before the child reaches the age of 6 months, the use of sunscreens is not recommended by doctors.

Umbrellas and canopies . When walking with babies in a stroller, use a hood. On the beaches of Cyprus, rent a sun umbrella (price – 2.5 € per unit for the whole day). The right to use it is secured even if you leave for lunch/break (keep your receipt). If you are vacationing for more than 6 days, then it is more profitable to purchase a personal umbrella at retail outlets near the beaches (10-15 €).

Drink. Don't forget to give your child water more often. For water (other drinks), it is better to use bottles made of glass or stainless steel, since plastic, when heated, can release harmful compounds into the drink (bisphenol A, for example).

First aid kit for a child in Cyprus

We will give an example of our children's first aid kit (most of the items on the list are based on the recommendations of the famous pediatrician E.O. Komarovsky). You can add or remove something at your discretion, taking into account the characteristics and age of the child.

  • Syringe (convenient for measuring and giving medications).
  • Digital Thermometer.
  • Disinfectant solution (eg chlorhexidine).
  • Patch.
  • Bandage.
  • Cotton wool, cotton swabs.
  • Pin.
  • Tweezers.
  • Scissors.
  • Disposable gloves.
  • Salt drops (we drop them into the nose on the plane to moisturize the mucous membrane and reduce the risk of contracting infections, since the air in the cabin is dry).
  • Glycerin suppositories (for constipation).
  • Vasoconstrictor drops (for small children) or spray (can be used for older children) based on xylometazoline (drop into the nose before boarding the plane to reduce the likelihood of ear pain and the risk of otitis media). We did not find xylometazoline-based drops; we took oxymetazoline-based drops for children under one year of age.
  • Antihistamine (Fenistil, Fenkarol, etc.).
  • Hydrocortisone ointment 1% (for insect bites and itchy allergic skin reactions).
  • An antipyretic based on paracetamol or ibuprofen: one type in syrup, the other in suppositories.
  • Powdered oral rehydration product (in case of intestinal infection to prevent dehydration). This can be rehydron, normohydron, etc.
  • Enterosorbent (activated carbon, smecta, enterosgel, etc.).
  • Anesthetic gel to relieve itching during teething (without ice caine in the composition).
  • Cooling pack (we didn’t have one, but it’s better to have it with you).
  • Individual medications/vitamins that the child takes.

If you are organizing a trip on your own, then Do not forget acquire policy a tourist for himself and, especially, children. Why it is needed is described in the article at the link.

Baby food and diapers in stores in Cyprus

Baby food And diapers can be bought in pharmacies, Carrefour, AlfaMega, Papantoniou, Metro supermarkets and in small shops. Lidl supermarkets do not sell baby food. Fruits and vegetables- in stores, but better at farmers' markets.

Milk formulas: NAN, Friso, S-26 – 7-10 €.

Jarnutrition : Bebivita, Hipp, Heinz, Cow&Gate, Nestle Gerber. Prices: 1.7 € for 125 ml, 2 € for 190 ml. As a rule, it is a mixture of vegetables and meat (small content). Pure meat and one-component vegetable purees are not sold. At best, you can only find carrot puree.

Fresh fruits and vegetables for children. Zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots can always be found on supermarket shelves. These vegetables can be used to make puree for a small child (make sure you have a blender/chopper). Familiar fruits that grow in Cyprus: peaches, apricots, apples, bananas, pears, strawberries, etc. Please note that fruits and vegetables are grown in Cyprus (the country is proud of its environmental friendliness).

Porridge– Fleur Alpine, Nestle, etc.

Diapers– Pampers Baby Dry, Libero Up&Go, Libero Comfort, Huggies.

From the personal experience of the authors . Our child (7 months old) didn’t really like the local canned meat and vegetable purees, so during the holiday we bought zucchini, broccoli and cauliflower grown in Cyprus (this is indicated on the price tag in the store) and prepared the vegetable purees ourselves. We took canned meat with us from home. Some of the fruit puree was brought with them in doy-packs, some was bought on the spot, and the child was also fed fresh local fruits: apricots, peaches, bananas and melon. We brought dry instant porridge, infant formula, and mother’s breasts with us. DiapersPampers Premium CareFor most of the trip we took it from home. While on holiday with a child in Cyprus, we didn’t find any of these, so we bought morePampersBabyDry.

Holidays in Cyprus with children: our reviews

We travel quite a lot (30+ countries), so we can safely say that it is an excellent choice of country for a holiday with children.

If we went on a beach holiday to Cyprus with a child next time, we would choose the resort of Protaras (Fig Tree and Vrissi beaches), Ayia Napa (Makronissos, Landa, Vatia Gonia, Pernera A, Pantacha beaches with a hotel away from the bar street, Glyki Nero) or Coral Bay (Coral Bay and Corallia beaches). We would choose a hotel with apartments (that is, with a kitchenette) or a private apartment.

For a child under 2 years old, food would be partially prepared on site from Cypriot vegetables, and a certain amount of ready-made baby food (especially meat) would be brought from home in case of excursions or sightseeing trips. For a slightly older child, we wouldn’t bother so much; we’d cook on the spot or feed him in a restaurant.

We would definitely take one with air conditioning (in principle, we always do this when visiting Cyprus) and travel around the island with a child in comfort and on a schedule convenient for us.

Regardless of the age of the child, they would visit any attractions of interest, but not everyone would choose entertainment. For kids - zoos (in Paphos, Limassol) and theme parks with animals and marine life (donkey and camel parks), playgrounds and amusement parks with attractions for the little ones (can be found in any city and resort village). For a child of primary school age, we would additionally consider water parks (Ayia Napa, Limassol, Paphos) and amusement parks (Ayia Napa, Limassol, Paphos), and a teenager would definitely be taken there.

If you are flying on vacation with children, then you should choose the best hotel where you and your child will be cozy and comfortable. But the beach is also of great importance. After all, you will spend most of your time on it, and it is important that it is clean. Sandy and safe for children. The best beaches in Cyprus for families with children - this is the title of our article. In it we will consider only those beaches in Cyprus that are safe for children. Sandy, pebble, rocky - reviews will help us understand where is the best place to go to soak up the sun and spend time on the sand.

Why is Cyprus so popular among our tourists? It's simple: it's inexpensive, it's warm and beautiful. And there are no problems with visas. Find out if you need a visa for Cyprus. And how to get it if necessary.

The first beach we will consider is located near the resort of Ayia Napa. It's called Makronissos.

This beach has a special status and is marked with a blue flag as one of the cleanest and best on earth. Therefore, the beach is carefully monitored and kept clean at all times. Garbage is removed on the shore, and preventative work is carried out in the water and mud, garbage and other objects that may interfere with vacationers are removed.

Plus it is sandy, the sand is fine and looks like starch. It is a pleasure to walk along it, and children will definitely love it.

Protaras also has beaches where children will feel cozy and comfortable. We have highlighted two beaches: Flamingo and Fig Tree Bay Beach.

Both of these beaches have white fine sand. It is safe to play in such sand. Walking barefoot is also possible and it only brings pleasure. There is also sand in the sea, which is already sufficiently “stuck” to the bottom, and does not rise from the bottom and does not create turbidity. The entrance to the sea is gentle. What makes beaches safe? And the children are delighted with this place.

In the center of Limassol there is a beach - Dassoudi Beach. This is a long beach that consists of gray sand. The sand is gray. Because it is of volcanic origin. But this only makes him softer.

A eucalyptus grove grows next to the beach, and you can take a walk here. Plus the pleasant smell helps you enjoy your vacation. Nearby there is a large port where huge ships sail. Children enjoy watching them and enjoying these giants.

In Paphos, almost all beaches are rocky and pebble. But there is sand here too, and it is located on Coral Bay Beach.

Parents love to relax here with their children because of the entrance to the sea. It is flat and you can walk twenty meters. Before there is depth. Plus the sand also helps you enjoy your vacation. But the beach is located a little away from the resort, and you will have to get to it by car or not by bus. Sometimes this is not very convenient with small children.

Larnaca is the cheapest resort in Cyprus. There are beautiful beaches here, and there are a lot of them. Mackenzie and Phinikoudes beaches are perfect for children and their parents.

True, there are rocks on the beaches, but they are large and tourists climb on them and sunbathe right on the rocks. The sea near the Larnaca coast is one of the warmest in Cyprus. There is little wind here and most hours of sunshine. So it’s simply gorgeous to relax here with children.

According to reviews, the most beautiful beach with powdery sand near Ayia Napa is Makronissos Beach. It is awarded the Blue Flag and is considered the best sandy beach on the island. Limassol

The best beach for families with children in Limassol is considered Dassoudi Beach. This is a long beach with grayish volcanic sand, located in the center of the resort, along it grows a fragrant eucalyptus grove. Limassol is popular among our compatriots, but has the disadvantage of being a large port city. With small children, they usually look for quieter and cleaner places.

Pathos

Paphos is also a port city, but the atmosphere is calmer, and the local air is ideal for allergy sufferers and those suffering from bronchopulmonary diseases. There is an airport in Paphos, which significantly reduces travel time to the hotel, and with children this factor is worth taking into account. But the beaches in Paphos are mostly pebble and rocky, sandy beach Coral Bay- almost 12 km from the city center, you can get there by city bus. Coral Bay is popular among vacationers with small children, as the entrance is gentle. There are also sandy beaches in the southern part of the city.

In Paphos, in addition to standard beach activities, you can take a walk in the archaeological, entertainment and national parks and look at the giant turtles, visit the Bird Park and the aquarium. A small zoo is located in Larnaca, and a real camel farm is in Limassol.

If you are going on holiday to Cyprus with children, especially small ones, it is better to give preference to all-inclusive tours. Prices for such tours last summer were approximately 1.5-2 times higher than usual - from 70-80 thousand rubles. But for the summer of 2019, there are vouchers for two adults and one child for 5-6 nights with departure from Moscow and St. Petersburg from only 56 thousand rubles. The difference with budget tours in this case is not only in the food, but also in the level of the hotel (all-inclusive holidays in Greece are usually offered by 3, 4 and 5 star hotels) - and this means a higher level of comfort and quality of service, and proximity to the beach.

Similar all-inclusive tours for flights from Yekaterinburg, Perm and Novosibirsk cost from 85 thousand rubles. But for some cities you can find trips as inexpensive as for Moscow and St. Petersburg. For example, tours to Greece from Rostov-on-Donku also cost from 65 thousand rubles.

Girls, my selection of hotels for holidays with children in Cyprus!

Read, study, book - I will be glad to help YOU with this!

So, Cyprus- these are beautiful beaches and a gentle entrance to the sea, a lot of hotels with a focus on children's recreation (children's pools, mini-clubs with animation, playgrounds, cribs, high chairs in restaurants).

High-quality nutrition adapted for us (a sea of dairy products, cheeses, potatoes, meat products). Mini-markets with necessary goods for children (baby food, kefir, cottage cheese, diapers); simplified visa regime without any certificates; the flight is only 3 hours 20 minutes and there is a long, long swimming season, starting from mid-May and ending in early November.

And note, all this with a European level of service!

There are many hotels in Cyprus where you can relax with children, but I will tell you about the best and most popular ones, where they take special care of their little guests.

Here are our top hotels in Cyprus for families with children:

Resort Limassol very popular for families with children of all ages. The beach here is not wide, the healing sand is gray, there are many shops, restaurants and cafes, and a large concentration of VIP-level hotels. From the city it is very convenient to get to many attractions in Cyprus. Limassol also has its own water park, amusement park, amusement parks, zoo and concert venue.

I would like to highlight the best family hotels in Limassol:

in Limassol, which I would like to note this

"St. Raphael Resort" 5*. This is a very popular 5* hotel in Limassol at affordable prices compared to other 5* hotels.

For your kids in this hotel : baby food, including yoghurts, curds, juices, fruits (you can ask to feed your baby at any time), crib, large playroom, cartoon show, fun and lively mini-disco, helpful nannies, high chairs in restaurants, water slide, and most importantly, a friendly and caring attitude towards little guests, high service and quality service. What else do you need?

ONE OF THE Few hotels where you can stay with 3 children (provided that the youngest is under 2 years old) "Mediterranean Beach » 4* - The best family hotel in the 4* category, 10 minutes drive from the city center. The hotel's beach is considered one of the best in Limassol. The food is good, the children will definitely not go hungry. Porridge, soups, mashed potatoes, chicken, cutlets are always available. The hotel has a children's club, playground, babysitting services, high chairs in all restaurants, and an outdoor shaded pool.

During the summer there are additional activities for children in the evenings. For example, illusionist show, mini-disco or children's theater.

Atlantica Oasis" 4*- A wonderful hotel in the center of Limassol for families with children. The main highlight of the hotel is the new children's pool with a water play area with a real pirate ship with water slides and fountains. The hotel has many holidaymakers with children. Eat mini-club “Bibliosha”, where educational and creative activities, games and sports competitions, exciting competitions and mini-discos, a children's playground, and early dinners are held.

For kids : Lots of high chairs to make eating more comfortable for them. The staff is friendly and affectionate with children. The downside of the hotel is the second line from the sea (10 minutes walk).

Of the 3* hotels in Limassol I would like to highlight "Park Beach" 3*-one of the few 3* hotels, which is located on the 1st line, surrounded by pine trees and eucalyptus trees. Good food (all inclusive available), but modest rooms.

For children children's pool, baby cot, high chairs in the restaurant. The hotel is suitable for an unpretentious family holiday.

I would like to note that one of the best places in Cyprus for a holiday with very young children is Protaras resort. We loved it for its relaxing holiday, sandy beaches with fine golden sand, a large number of family and inexpensive 4* and 3* hotels, quality service and good food.

Golden Coast" 4* - this is a family hotel that operates on an all-inclusive basis. First coastline, quiet and peaceful environment, very polite and pleasant staff (there are Russian-speaking employees). There are many tourists with children in the hotel.

For children: water slide, swimming pool, children's play areas with climbing frames, swings and slides, fun mini-disco, animation, children's menu. A huge plus of this hotel is the food. Everything is very tasty, varied and high quality! For children: yogurt, milk, cereal, chocolate spread, milk oatmeal, boiled vegetables, fresh fruit. There is a supermarket within a 20-minute walk from the hotel where you can buy diapers, baby food and other necessary goods.

"Crystal Springs" 4* - a very pleasant, green hotel surrounded by a tropical park, on the seashore in a small cove (there are no strong waves here, and the water is clean and very warm), in a calm area of Protaras. Most of the guests at this hotel are families with very young children under 5 years old. Everything is provided for kids there: from a children's pool with a playground to safe swings and sun canopies. For breakfast, milk porridge and famous milk cheeses, for lunch and dinner, soups, boiled vegetables, a variety of fish and meat dishes, fruits, and desserts. The hotel offers special discounts for children under 13 years of age staying with one adult or two adults.

There is a children's menu, high chairs in restaurants, mini - club and mini disco.

Aparthotel Malama Beach Holiday Village 4*- a hotel complex with a unique design, located right on the seashore in the best resort area of Protaras.

Unique ratio of apartment hotel (rooms with equipped kitchen) and system " all inclusive" which is offered at the hotel! There is a Russian animation club for children, there is a children's menu, and crib rentals. There is a children's playground, sandbox, children's pool.

This hotel is often chosen by families with 2-3 children of different ages, including very young children who need to cook their own food!

Hotel Pernera Beach" 3* + - another bestseller for families with children. The hotel is included in the program "Adults and children", which offers a family holiday option with a rich program for both parents and young tourists. Two super mini clubs "Zebra" for children under 6 years old and "Pirates" for children under 12 years old your kids will not be bored. Children, together with a team of cheerful animators, are immersed in a cheerful pirate life and become residents of a small country of games and fairy tales.

Also for children : crib, children's pool, games room, children's menu. The hotel itself has a very pleasant area, located on the first line, close to restaurants and shops in the Protaras resort.

"Сavo Maris Beach Hotel" 3* - a very popular, family-run hotel in a quiet area of the Protaras resort on the first coastline. The beach near the hotel is very good, shallow. Ideal for kids.

The hotel also has children's club, children's menu, playground and children's pool, mini-disco every evening.

Now we smoothly move on to the resort Ai-Anapa.

About the resort Ai-Anapa Many people in Cyprus have probably already heard it.

This is the center of nightlife and club life, a mecca for youth hangouts. However, despite the fact that the resort is most often interesting for young people, it has many advantages for families with children: unusually beautiful beaches with yellow sand and a gently sloping entrance, a mild climate, an amusement park in the center of the resort and a water park. And there are so many young parents who are tired of sitting at home and would like to take part in such types of entertainment themselves. Of course, most hotels will be noisy for families with children. I recommend considering hotels that are located away from the busy life of the resort and that can be highlighted.

"Adams Beach" 5* another high-level hotel, but this time in the resort of Ayia Napa. Your kids will not be bored in this hotel; there are many tourists with children here! The hotel has mini-club “Bibliosha”, where educational and creative activities, games and sports competitions, exciting quests and mini-disco for children, a playground and a children's pool are held. Also the pride of the hotel is aqua slides (rare for hotels in Cyprus). Also free baby cot and high chairs in restaurants. Very high quality, incredibly tasty food (fruits, meat, dairy products, desserts). Well, the most picturesque and most popular beach of the resort is Nissi Beach with yellow soft sand. The hotel provides discounts for children from 2-11 years old when staying with one or two adults, which is very important, since the hotel is not cheap.

"Nissi Beach" 4*-perhaps the most popular family hotels in Cyprus! It is famous for its beautiful Nissi Beach, its large and green territory, quality food and pelicans walking around the hotel). For children there is children's club "Children" World", children's playground, children's pool, games room, children's menu. After dinner there is a mini disco. The girls animators are extremely attentive and many speak Russian. It is very convenient that every restaurant outside the hotel has a playground - parents can calmly sit at the table and chat while their baby is doing something.

Olympic Lagoon 4* - another excellent 4* hotel in a quiet part of the Ai-Anapa resort. In addition to its well-groomed and beautiful grounds, high-quality and varied food (the food is one of the best in CYPRUS!) and the highest service, the hotel has a children's pool in the shape of a pirate ship with children's water slides, where children splash around all day long. In the mini-club, the animators are very active with the children, making crafts with the children, holding drawing competitions, and preparing performances for evening shows. After lunch, children have the opportunity to run around in the pool in a huge inflatable ball. In addition to the traditional mini-disco in the evening, there is a daytime mini-disco in the pool.

Also on site children's playground, restaurants with high chairs, children's menu, babysitting services. In a word, children will not be bored here. The downside of the hotel is the beach across the road, but this fact does not upset hotel guests at all.

Melissa Beach" 4* - inexpensive but nice 4* hotel near the center of Ai-Anapa and the amusement park, on the first line. Works at the hotel children's club "Bibliosha"", where educational and creative activities for children are held. The hotel also has two children's pools, a playground, a children's menu and even a menu for babies (young children can whip everything with a blender upon request).

There are small shops and a supermarket nearby the hotel.

Of the 3* hotels in Ai-Anapa, I would like to highlight the hotel "Nissana" 3* The hotel has very responsive and attentive staff, a cozy and homely atmosphere, delicious and varied food. The famous Nissi Beach is 150 meters across the road. For children, the hotel offers a children's menu, a children's pool, a playground, high chairs in the restaurant, and babysitting services. 25 minutes walk from bustling nightlife.

"The Golden Bay" 5*- very popular hotel, just 15 km. from the airport Larnaca. Large, well-groomed area, good sandy beach, flat and shallow. Children are not bored here !

The hotel has :

children's pool, children's water slides, children's playroom, playground in the garden, children's menu in the restaurant, high chairs in the restaurant, cribs, babysitter (for a fee), kids club "Bibliosha", animation programs.

"Coral Beach" 5*-exclusively family hotel in the resort Pathos. Children are happy, parents are happy - this is the basic principle of this hotel. Excellent service, friendly staff, nice beach (compared to other hotels in Paphos), all inclusive meals.

Here for children: children's table (oatmeal, chicken soup, mashed potatoes, boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, fruit), two mini-clubs, including club "Bibliosha" children's pool with slides, playground with slides and swings, children's animation, babysitting services. In the evenings there is an incendiary mini-disco. There is a store with necessary goods next to the hotel, and a zoo is a five-minute drive away.

These are the most popular hotels for families with children in Cyprus. Some are cheaper, some are more expensive, but all of these hotels are family hotels, have a developed infrastructure for children and are always happy to see their little guests!

Any dates and duration are possible, please ask and I will calculate.

Check-in is possible from any day, for any number of days.

I will be glad to select and book the best hotel for you, taking into account your wishes!

Is it possible to have a relaxing family holiday in Cyprus? By family vacation we mean approximately the following situation - a young couple with children of preschool or primary/secondary school age, interests - sea, sun, fruit, without nightclubs and discos, living in an apartment or hotel near the sea with the opportunity to eat both at home and at home. and periodically go out to cafes and restaurants.

I’ll try to figure it out and recommend places and places based on my experience. Cyprus resorts on which such a family will feel good. And also, in what period should you go on vacation, so that the water is warm and there are a minimum of rowdy English party-goers and the prices are not sky-high.

I'll start from the southeast part Cyprus and I'll end up where the sun sets. That is, I'll take a walk from Protaras And Ayia Napa before Paphos And Policy.

Priorities are a beach holiday, not long and not tiring excursions and maximum entertainment for children.

Family holidays in Protaras

Family holidays in Ayia Napa

It is considered a noisy youth resort, but I can confidently recommend it for a beach and sea holiday, especially in May-June and autumn.

Advantages of Ayia Napa

  • The best beaches in Cyprus are in Ayia Napa
  • There are many natural attractions nearby - sea caves, beautiful rocks, a natural park - Cape Greco
  • an endless selection of inexpensive apartments that allow you to cook your own food and not depend on prices in cafes and restaurants. At will, of course.
  • the best hotels by the sea are also in Ayia Napa
  • there is a lot of entertainment for families and children; you can read in detail in the article dedicated to family holidays in Ayia Napa

Pantachou Beach - Ayia Napa, city beach

Disadvantages of Ayia Napa

In July-August it is a rather noisy and crowded resort, especially in the area.

IN Paphos fewer good beaches than in Ayia Napa, and those that exist are located far from the city center. The best beach in Paphos - Coral Bay is located away from the city center and can be reached by bus number 615 from Paphos harbor (embankment)

Coral Bay - the best beach in Paphos

Advantages of Paphos

  • Paphos has its own small international airport and if there are flights from your city there, then it is very convenient to organize a transfer
  • there are a lot of first-class hotels on the first line on both sides of the embankment and the city center;
  • a lot of children's entertainment; among the most popular - Paphos water park, zoo and various water activities, walks to water caves;
  • the beaches are small, but sandy and very cozy, there are no roads near the beaches, which allows you not to worry about the children
  • There are many historical and natural attractions near Paphos
  • if you are vacationing with older children, take and go on a family walk to, there is wild nature and the famous; It is located near Paphos - it is also interesting to go there on an excursion with children

Disadvantages of Paphos

  • if you arrive at the main airport of Cyprus - Larnaca, then at Pathos it takes longer to get there than to Ayia Napa or Protaras, about 1.5 hours by car, and by bus is not an option at all;
  • V Paphos there are no white sand beaches like in Ayia Napa

Family holidays in Latchi

Less promoted and less popular resort of Cyprus – Latchi, which I highly recommend for a family holiday with older children or just for couples without children. Latchi– for those who like to alternate a relaxing beach holiday with active trips along the coast and into the mountains.

beach in Latchi, Cyprus

I saw no shortcomings in this resort and will come here again. A long beach with light sand that changes color depending on the time of day, an excellent smooth entrance into the water, a charming marina with yachts and fishing boats and a string of seaside restaurants aimed specifically at a relaxing family holiday.

The biggest plus is the opportunity to rent a boat or yacht and go on a sea voyage around the area, landing on deserted beaches. Nearby for active families, the opportunity to explore the surrounding area on buggies or quad bikes.

It is possible to take one-day radial family trips to the mountains - you have several not very long ones at your disposal car routes, where you can go with your family.

Mariela Hotel Apartments

For a family holiday with children, choose end of May – June, when the water has already warmed up to a comfortable 23-25 degrees, and there are still few people or September October when prices are lower and the temperature is the same as in May-June, but the water is warmer.

I deliberately DO NOT recommend choosing Larnaca. As for me, this city with its beautiful embankment and attractions is more suitable for one-day excursions than for a long vacation. Although there are entire cottage villages for family holidays, they have a minimum of beach infrastructure and clayey gray sand. Entering the water there will be comfortable only for children from 2 to 5 years old, since they will have to walk at least a hundred meters in shallow water to reach an acceptable depth for swimming.

Limassol also poorly suited for a family holiday with children, it is a big city with its charms and embankment, but still, first of all, a business center, and then a beach holiday. Yes and beaches in Limassol not at all like those on tourist brochures.

How to rent a car in Cyprus

On Cyprus There are both expensive transnational rental companies and many small car rental companies. This season a very cool thing has appeared - all the leading local rental companies are now united on the Myrentacar.com website. The site not only acts as a search engine for profitable rentals, but also helps in difficult situations and when various questions arise. There is Russian-language support. I personally checked both prices and cars. I recommend.

How to find an inexpensive hotel or apartment in Cyprus

I use the trusted Booking.com and aggregator site RoomGuru (HotelsCombined). Choice of accommodation, even for such a small island as Cyprus, on these resources is huge, but I recommend booking in advance - the best options are sold out a couple of months before the high season (July-August).

How to buy cheap air tickets to Cyprus

One of the two international airports in Cyprus is Larnaca, which has many direct flights from Moscow, Kyiv, Riga, Tel Aviv and other cities. You can choose a flight and buy cheap air tickets on the website aviasales.ru. I recommend checking the availability of cheap air tickets using the low price calendar.
