For most Far Eastern destinations, subsidized flights in 2019 will most likely operate from January 1 to December 31.

Subsidized transportation to the All-Russian Children's Center "Ocean" in 2019 is planned to be carried out from January 1 to December 31. The right to purchase a discounted air ticket to the Ocean center can be used by a citizen of the Russian Federation under the age of 18, in whose name the ticket is issued. Flights under this program are currently operated from Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

Who can buy subsidized air tickets from the Far East

Reduced air tickets from the Far East and back to the Far East in 2019 can be purchased by several categories of citizens:

The author of these lines asked the opinion of the head of one of the large airline agencies. They said the following: “Moscow, which truly woke up on March 14, opened the reservation of air seats for Kamchatka at 24 hours Kamchatka time. Why at night? This question is not for me. I arrived at my workplace at 23:30 and started booking. In the morning there was nothing left to book: the reservation disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared... At our ticket office I managed to use about 200 reservations. I worked alone, since the other operators were resting, and I did not dare to involve people in night work.”
And here’s what an operator from another airline agency told KV journalists: “I came to work, as always, in the morning and discovered that, it turns out, the booking program was already open. I immediately started booking plane seats, but by 12 o'clock all the reservations suddenly disappeared. Many who pre-booked in December, January and February were left with nothing. I didn’t know how to explain what happened to clients. I suspect that the bulk of the bookings were taken by larger airline agencies who knew in advance about the opening time of bookings and worked all night.

The people who contacted us were in shock, that’s a fact, but I couldn’t help them. I understood only one thing: if this happens, it means it’s beneficial to someone.”
Hazy Perspective
People continue to flock to numerous ticket offices, but tickets appear and disappear. One can only guess whether additional seats on planes will be allocated for beneficiaries. “What has been happening for the second year with the booking of air tickets under the presidential program cannot be called anything other than a blatant disgrace,” another airline agency told us. They are simply making fun of Kamchatka! Those few hours that are unexpectedly given to book seats on planes under the presidential program, and even under the cover of darkness, only aggravate the situation. The lucky ones are only those who were among the first or second hundred who signed up. As they say, those who didn’t have time are late.

There is also a problem with the conscientious attitude of some airline and travel agencies to their work, which do not consider it necessary to explain to clients the nuances of the presidential program. For example, at one of the ticket offices, when asked whether it was possible to buy an air ticket under the presidential program, KV readers were given a laconic answer: “The President of the Russian Federation is busy with the Olympics: he has not yet signed the preferential air flight program.” However, no information about booking, etc. the person asking the question was not provided.

People are outraged and ask a completely reasonable question: who needs manipulations with discounted air tickets that discredit the presidential program in Kamchatka?

Last Friday, at the end of the working day, the author of these lines managed to get through to the acting Minister of Transport and Road Construction of the Kamchatka Territory, Mikhail Tsyplakov.
