Turin has its own airport, which has international status and is named after the former Italian President Sandro Pertini, who actively opposed fascism.

A little history
Turin Airport began its history in 1953, when a fairly large civilian airport was formed on the site of a small military airfield used during World War II. Over time, it was constantly expanded, but the largest reconstruction was carried out in 2006 and timed to coincide with the Winter Olympics in Italy. Turin Airport has repeatedly received prestigious awards for its modern quality of service.

Tax free
To issue a tax refund, you need to stamp tax-free forms at customs (upon presentation of your passport, receipts and purchases themselves). With certified forms, go to the Maccorp Forexchange point in the departure area of the passenger terminal. Opening hours: 6:00-22:00 seven days a week. The maximum cash refund amount is 3000 EUR.

How to get to the airport
Taxi
If you need to get to Turin quickly, order a taxi, but only a car from a city service, not a private one. The cost of a trip to the city is about 30-44 EUR. Prices on the page are as of August 2019.
Bus
You can get from the airport to the city by bus - they go every half hour towards the train station.
Travel by bus will cost you 6.50 EUR, but by taxi - about 30-40 EUR.
Train
There is a train station next to the passenger terminal, from which you can go to Turin GTT Dora station. Travel time is 19 minutes, ticket costs 3 EUR.
Transfer
A good way to conveniently and quickly get to Turin. All you need to do is pre-book a car of a suitable class for the required number of people. At the airport, clients will be met by a driver with a name plate. The price of the trip indicated when booking does not change: traffic jams or additional waiting time for the flight do not affect it.
